Robins AFB is the economic driver of Houston County and the entire Middle Georgia region. We have a duty to ensure the base, its personnel, and its missions are supported at the state level. Without the base, livelihoods and our regional prosperity would dry up overnight.
It is imperative that our we support our war fighters, their families, and the civilians who work at Robins. I have been proud to work with the 21st Century Partnership, CGTC, our public schools and the VECTR center to make sure our students are ready to work at Robins and that our separating service members are trained to enter the civilian workforce.
I sponsored House Bill 880 which was signed into law by Governor Kemp in 2024. This cuts through the regulatory red tape and allows military spouses who have an occupational license in another state to seamlessly get to work in Georgia within 30 days of submitting their application to the licensing board.
The House works to create a job friendly climate that will attract industries which support the current missions of Robins AFB and will expand capabilities to support new missions in the future.
The Middle Georgia delegation is working tirelessly to link educational institutions to the base's missions so that our public school students, adult civilians, and veterans are well prepared for their professional careers.
